This 15 minute video features the stories of inner-city Aboriginal leaders.
Through interviews and a walk through the neighbourhoods that they grew up in, these Aboriginal men and women share with us their personal journeys as children growing up in the inner city of Winnipeg to respected leaders committed to their communities.
They reflect on the powerful change that comes from community-led development strategies and they give us insight into the distinctive and exciting form of Aboriginal community development that has emerged in Winnipeg’s inner city. They describe the process by which they are building strength and capacity and new leadership committed to improving the lives of Aboriginal people.
